This week involved a mouse… actually the same mouse, I think.
We trapped it and released it 3–4 times, each time a little farther out. It kept finding its way back like it had unfinished business in the house.
So this time we drove it about a mile away and let it go.
Haven’t seen it since.
Doesn’t mean we won’t see another one eventually—but for now, it’s quiet again.
The funny part is the dogs have been completely oblivious through all of this.
This week’s project is trying to stay ahead of the next one.
We started going around the outside of the log house, sealing up small gaps—anything that looks like an easy entry point. Steel wool, a little patience, and a lot of crawling around the perimeter.
Not glamorous work, but it feels like one of those things that matters more over time than it does in the moment.
(And hopefully saves us from relocating Mouse #2.)
